Mewlana Jalaluddin Rumi

Mewlana Jalaluddin Rumi (1207-1273), more popularly known simply as Rumi, was a Persian poet, scholar and mystic. His poems have been widely translated into many languages. Rumi believed passionately in the use of music, poetry and dance as a path for reaching God, and his poems mix playfulness and joy with wisdom. Translations of his works have sold millions of copies worldwide.
