Pae Veo

Pae Veo is a student at St. Mary’s University. He is studying English, and will continue to do so until he has a degree, or is told to leave. He has traveled all through Canada in a very unconventional way, and has picked up stories along the tracks. He has just published his first book, Searching for Marilyn Monroe; a collection of stories that will be sure to cause an existential crisis - something we need more of in our lives.

Imprisoning Mental Health: Facing our Failures and Searching for Solutions

Paul LaPointe’s undiagnosed bi-polar disorder drove him to bizarre and desperate behaviour, which in turn led to years of cycling in and out of jail. His life changed dramatically when a caring doctor diagnosed and treated his mental health issues. The recent launch of Paul’s book, From Cell to Sanity, included a national panel coming together to discuss Corrections, Mental Health, Poverty and Social Justice. Continue reading
