A Conversation with Omar Reda, MD

Dr. Omar Reda is a board-certified psychiatrist, Harvard-trained trauma expert, and a family advocate. He is also the author of several books, including Untangled: A Go-To Guide for Caregivers of Traumatized Children, Families, and Communities (Chehalem Press, 2019). His latest book, The Wounded Healer: The Pain and Joy of Caregiving (W.W. Norton Publishers) is due out March 15, 2022. Originally from Libya, he now lives in Portland, Oregon with his wife and children.

It was our great pleasure to talk with Dr. Reda, whose work has taken him to many parts of the world, bringing healing and hope.
